DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY TO THE SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENTS



Pursuant to the principle of decentralization and empowerment, the exercise of authority over certain functions is hereby delegated to the Schools Division Superintendents, as follows:
  1. Approve appointments, promotions, transfers, reinstatements and details of personnel of the Schools Division Office occupying Level I positions, and, by the authority of the Secretary, those occupying Level II positions, except Assistant Schools Division Superintendents. The Schools Division Superintendents shall continue to approve the appointments of teachers pursuant to the provisions R.A. Nos. 4670 and 8190;

  2. Approve requests for study, vacation, sick, maternity, terminal leaves, with or without pay and resignations of the aforesaid personnel and;

  3. Approve the dropping of personnel from the rolls.
This Order rescinds/revises Sec. A (1, 3, 7, 10 and 11) of MECS Order No. 48, s. 1986 and all other issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Order takes effect immediately.
