[ SUGAR ORDER NO. 3-A, January 07, 1998 ]
AMENDMENT TO SUGAR ORDER NO. 3, SERIES OF 1997-98; RE: FILLING UP THE BALANCE OF THE US QUOTA ALLOCATION FOR QUOTA YEAR 1997-98
Whereas there is a need to amend Sugar Order No. 3, Series of 1997-98 relative to the filling up of the 2nd, 3rd & 4th quarters of the U.S Sugar Quota Allocation for Quota for Quota Year 1997-98;
NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), it is hereby ordered that:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Sugar Order No. 3, Series of 1997-98, dated 18 December 1997, is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3. This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 4. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order, are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.

"Section 2. The second quarter allocation and the remaining quarters shall be allocated among sugar exporters on a "first come, first-served" basis.SECTION 2. Sugar Order No. 3 Series of 1997-98 as hereby amended shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 4. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order, are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.
