[ SRA ORDER NO. 11, February 21, 2000 ]

AMENDMENT TO SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 3, SERIES OF 1998-99, DATED 15 OCTOBER 1998



WHEREAS, there is a need to amend certain provisions of SRA Sugar Order No. 3, Series of 1998-99, dated 15 October 1998 concerning requirements for monitoring local coastwise movement of sugar to curb the illegal entry of imported sugar;

WHEREAS, the present procedure of monitoring local coastwise movement of sugar by the Task Force "Aduana" (TFA) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in collaboration with the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) requires that TFA and BOC shall be furnished with reports of shipping permit issuances;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in me SRA, is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1.       Section 2 of SRA Sugar Order No. 3, supra, shall be amended to read as follows:

"Section 2.    The SRA officers authorized under Section 1 hereof shall transmit a daily report of shipping permit issuances to the Office of the Administrator through FAX No. 926-43-37 or any fast means of communication not later than 5:00 P.M. of the reporting date.

A monthly report of shipping permit fee collections and remittances shall be submitted to PCRO, Quezon City through SRED-Q.C. by the said SRA officers by adopting the attached cashbook form to complement the daily submission of the report on shipping permit issuances."

SECTION 2.        Other provisions of SRA Sugar Order No. 3, supra, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3.       Provisions of Sugar Order, Circular Letters, rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.

SECTION 4.        This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately. Non-complying SRA officers shall be held liable and charged administratively.
