SUBMISSION OF LATEST FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF HOSPITALS AS AN ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR ACCREDITATION



The financial capability of all institutional health care providers is essential to the delivery of quality health care services to the members and dependents of the National Health Insurance Program.  Therefore, and in accordance with the authority of the Corporation as provided in Section 53 (j) of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of the National Health Insurance Act of 1995 (Republic Act No. 7875 as Amended by RA 9241), the Corporation hereby requires that hospitals applying for accreditation shall submit the following financial statement together with their application for accreditation, to wit:

1.    Latest audited statements of revenue and expenses for the following facilities:

  1. Private hospitals
  2. non-stock, non-profit organizations

2.    Current annual budget for the following facilities:vee

  1.  DOH-retained hospitals
  2. LGU owned and managed hospitals
  3. Other government owned and managed hospitals

Institutional health care providers who cannot provide a copy of their financial statement shall be deemed to have failed to comply with the essential requirement for accreditation.

This circular applies to applications for renewal of accreditation for CY 2005-2006 in Regions VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, CAR and CARAGA. Other regions shall be advised accordingly.
