SUSPENSION OF DEPLOYMENT OF FILIPINO WORKERS TO MIDDLE EAST



Pursuant to the official directive of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Department Order No. 02, Series of 1998, suspending the deployment of Filipino workers to the Middle East in view of the prevailing unstable situation thereat, the deployment of ali skills bound for the following countries is hereby temporarily suspended: .

1. Bahrain

9. Libya

2. Egypt .      .

10. Oman

3, Iran

11. Qatar

4. Iraq

12. Saudi Arabia

5. Israel

13. Syria

6. Jordan

14. UAE

7: Kuwait

15. Yemen

8. Lebanon

 


This temporary suspension shall cover processing of contracts and issuance of Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) to all types of skills/workers, including name hires, returning or vacationing workers, government-hires or agency-hires. POEA's Labor Assistance Center (LAC) at NAIA and all other exit points in the regions, shall hold all departures to abovementioned countries.

For strict compliance until further notice.
