[ NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 03-02-2002, FEBRUARY 1, 2002, February 01, 2002 ]
CLARIFICATION ON MC11-12-2001 (SUF)
The Commission hereby issues the following clarifications to Sections 4.1 of MC11-12-2001 (Spectrum User Fees):
The SUF rates shall cover both transmit and receive, i.e., PhP500,000.00/MHz shall mean one (1) MHz of both transmit and receive. For a 20MHz (total of both TX and RX), the total SUF shall be PhP5,000,000.00. This interpretation shall be applied to all other rates covered by section 4.1 of MC11-12-2001.
In view of the proximity of the deadline for the payment of the SUF, the deadline for payment of the SUF covered by MC11-12-2001 for this year only shall be on 28 February 2002. Henceforth, payments shall be made not later than 31 January of each year.
Any circular, memorandum or order or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are deemed amended, revised or repealed.
This circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation and three (3) certified copies provided the UP Law Center.
