[ SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 8, March 15, 1999 ]

REVISED SUGAR POLICY FOR CROP YEAR 1998-1999



WHEREAS, Section 4 of Sugar Order No. 1, Series of 1998-1999, dated 28 August 1998, provides that the SRA shall undertake periodic assessments of the 1998-1999 sugar production and, on the basis of such assessments shall adjust from time to time the percentage distribution of the different classes of sugar;

WHEREAS, there shall be no additional allocation in our U.S. Quota Year 1998-1999 this coming 15 March 1999;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the powers vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that;

SECTION 1. The percentage allocations for the various classes of sugar under Section 1 of Sugar Order No. 1, Series of 1998-1999, dated 28 August 1998 is hereby revised.

All sugar production for the Crop Year 1998-1999 beginning 21 March 1999 shall be issued weekly quedan-permits by mill companies in the following classifications and percentages:

"A" or U.S. Quota Sugar –

10%

"B" or Domestic Sugar –

89%

"B-1" or Food Processors'/

 

Exporters' Sugar -

1%

SECTION 2. All other provisions of the aforesaid Sugar Order No. 1, Series of 1998-1999, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order, are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.
