PROHIBITING PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ENTERING INTO CERTAIN KINDS OF OFFICIAL TRANSACTIONS WITH REAL, PRETENDED OR IMAGINARY RELATIVES OF THE PRESIDENT



I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby prohibit all officers and employees of the Government holding positions of trust and responsibility from dealing directly or indirectly with any of my relatives or of ATTY. JOSE MIGUEL T. ARROYO, whether by consanguinity or affinity, and whether real, pretended, or imaginary, in matters relating to contracts where the Government or any of its subdivision, agencies or instrumentalities is a party, or to the procurement or purchase of property, supplies and materials, appointment of government personnel, recommendations for positions, or any other matter calling for action or decision.

This Order shall be without prejudice to the application of the provision of Section 5 of Republic Act No. 3019, otherwise known as the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act as well as other similar laws.

Any office or employee of the Government, including those if the corporations owned or controlled by the same, violating this order shall be dealt with accordingly.
