[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2005-006, March 01, 2005 ]

ADDITIONAL MARKING REQUIREMENT FOR ALL PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES



To prevent or at least minimize the abuses of public utility drivers, the Board hereby requires public utility operators to paint the following marking requirement:

 

"HOW'S MY DRIVING?
  Call or Text LTFRB Hotline (0921) 448-7777
  Or Call Operator's Tel. No. _______________."
 

    a) For buses, trucks, vans and AUV's, the above markings shall be painted at the rear side of the units with 3" x 1" (height and width) lettering size.

    b) For sedan vehicles, the markings shall be painted at the rear hood portion with 2" x 1" (height and width) lettering size or printed with the use of stickers at the rear windshield of the units with 3" x 1" (height and width) lettering size.

    c) For jeepneys, the markings shall be painted at the right and left sides of the units with 3" x 1" (height and width) lettering size.

All operators are likewise requires to keep a daily record of their drivers and the units that drive for easy identification of erring drivers.

A thirty-day (30) period from effectivity hereof is given for compliance with this Circular. Any operator found violating this Circular shall be subject to a penalty in the amount of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.000) per single offense.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect fifteen (15) days following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No.11, dated 09 October 1992.
