[ PSO CIRCULAR NO. 90-22, October 16, 1990 ]

PAYMENT OF FEES BY PRIVATE EXPRESS OR MESSENGER DELIVERY SERVICE FIRMS



Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 (d) of Presidential Decree No. 240, dated July 9, 1973, the following shall be paid by operators of Private Express or Messenger Delivery Service firms:

1.  P600.00 for Filing Fee — This shall be paid by the applicant upon filing of petition for authority to operate express or messenger delivery service;

2.  P800.00 for Registration Fee — This shall be paid by the applicant upon the issuance by Postal Services Office of the authority applied for after the public hearing is conducted;

3.  P600.00 for Annual Supervision and RegulationFee — An operator shall pay an annual supervision and regulation fee on or before January 30 of each year in the amount of P600.00 and additional P200.00 for each branch;

4.  P500.00 for Renewal/Extension Fee — This shall be paid by the operator upon filing a request for renewal/extension of the authority previously issued.

However, for those firms whose authority has been extended for a period of two (2) years or more, they will pay the amount of P500.00 on or before December 31 of each year.

"Branch or Agency" refers to any station, sub-station, receiving counter, delivery office, dispatching or transit office directly operated and managed by the firm authorized by the Assistant Secretary for Postal Services Office to operate express or messenger delivery service at areas within the scope of its authority.

All previous orders and issuances which are inconsistent with this order are deemed superseded, amended or modified accordingly.

This Administrative Order shall take effect on January 1, 1991.
