[ VRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 06-88, June 29, 1988 ]

Videogram Commercial Permits and Special Commercial Permits



Following are the guidelines for the submission of documents regarding videograms being applied for Videogram Commercial Permits and Special Commercial Permits:

1.  For Locally Prouced Films – Applicant to present duly notarized original contract/s showing his rights.

2.  For Foreign Films – Applicant to present original contract/s showing his rights:

a.  For contract/s or agreement/s executed outside the Philippines, authentication by the Philippine Consul is required.

b. For contract/s or agreement/s executed in a country where there is no Philippine Consulate, the following shall be observed:

1. the local licensee shall submit a sworn statement that he/she has entered into an agreement with the licensor attaching thereto the original copy of a certified true copy of the contract or agreement.

2. the Videogram Regulatory Board shall verify, by telex machine, the veracity and genuiness of the contract/s or agreement/s submitted.  The expenses incurred therein shall be for the account of the applicant.

The above shall take effect on 15 July 1988.
