IMPLEMENTING ORDER TO EXECUTIVE ORDERS 333, 334, 335 AND 336 SERIES OF 1996



Pursuant to Section 601 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended, and in line with Executive Order 333, 334, 335 and 336, the following instructions are hereby issued for strict compliance of all concerned:

1.0

Objective


1 1 To insure proper application of the Margin of Preference prescribed under the Brand to Brand Complementation Scheme in the Automotive Industry under the Basic Agreement of the Asean Industrial Complementation.

1.2 To insure that only those entities specifically entitled to the Margin of Preference under the above E.O.s are given the preference.

2.0

Scope

2.1 Importations of automobile parts and brands from sources listed in the attached Annex "A*" and subsequent revisions thereof covered by a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the ASEAN Secretariat.

2.2 Qualified suppliers and beneficiaries as per attached Annex "B*".

3.0

Applicable Brand to Brand Complementation Preferential Tariff

Upon the effectivity of this order, the rates appearing under the column applicable Brand to Brand Complementation Preferential Tariff (Column 10/listed in Annex "A" of this order shall be applicable tariff for the articles covered by this order and for the sources stated therein in lieu of the regular rates provided for under existing orders.

4.0

Supporting documents


4.1 Certificate of Eligibility - Applications for the preferential tariff under the Brand to Brand Complementation Scheme must be supported by a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Asean Committee on Industry, Minerals and Energy.

Effectivity


This order shall take effect on 13 August 1996.
