[ BSP MEMORANDUM, June 17, 1998 ]
NEW AMENDED JOINT ORDER NO. 1-91* ON CISS
Pursuant to paragraph no. 16 of subject Order, please be advised of the re-issuance of subject new Amended Joint Order No. 1-91, on the implementation of the Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme (CISS), signed jointly by Acting Secretary of Finance Ma. Cecilia G. Soriano, Secretary of Trade and Industry Cesar B. Bautista and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Gabriel C. Singson.
Subject new Amended Joint Order 1-91 as re-issued took effect on March 16, 1998 and "shall apply to goods covered by Philippine L/Cs or SGS Registration Documents opened/issued on or after March 16, 1998" as provided under paragraph nos. 16 and 17 of subject Order.
A copy of subject Order, as furnished by the Bureau of Customs, together wit the covering Customs Memorandum Order 92-98 dated 16 March 1998, is attached for your information and guidance.
Please inform your importer-clients accordingly.
