[ CIAC RESOLUTION NO. 4-96, August 08, 1996 ]

DEFINING THE EFFECTIVITY OF CIAC RESOLUTION 2-96 PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FEE UPON CASES WITH CLAIMS ABOVE P1 MILLION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING AN “ARBITRATION DEVELOPMENT FUND” FOR SMALL CLAIMS



WHEREAS, CIAC Resolution 2-96 was unanimously passed by the Commission in its 37th Regular meeting held on 28 May 1996;

WHEREAS a copy of said Resolution was filed at the U.P. Law Center on 15 July 1996 and the same has become effective, as of 30 July 1996, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 11 from the Office of the President;

NOW, THEREFORE, WE THE UNDERSIGNED COMMISSIONERS, by virtue of the powers vested in us by law do hereby resolve, as it hereby resolved, to impose the special fee under CIAC Resolution 2-96 on all pending cases without signed Terms of Reference as of the date of its effectivity on 30 July 1996 and on all new cases filed thereafter.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
