LIFTING OF RECALL ORDER ON THE TEXTBOOKS “SCIENCE AND HEALTH, LEARNING AND LIVING SERIES” FOR GRADES I-VI PUBLISHED BY VIBAL PUBLISHING HOUSE
1. This is relative to DECS Order No. 8, s. 1997 which ordered the recall/discontinuance of certain textbooks being used in schools due to errors noted. Relative thereto, Vibal Publishing House has submitted a new, corrected version of the above-titled textbook series to DECS which were duly evaluated and approved by the Instructional Materials Council.
2. In view thereof, the recall/discontinuance order for the above-mentioned textbooks series is hereby lifted and the 1997 Edition of “Science and Health, Learning and Living Series” for Grades I-VI published by Vibal Publishing House is hereby authorized for use in schools.
It is understood that earlier editions of this series continue to be disapproved for use in schools.
3. It is likewise informed that other textbook titles mentioned in DECS Order No. 8, s. 1997 continue to be recalled/discontinued unless a specific order lifting the same is issued by this Office.
