[ DECS MEMORANDUM NO. 66, s. 1998, February 20, 1998 ]
ACCREDITATION OF UNITS EARNED IN U.P. DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM IN DIPLOMA IN LANGUAGE STUDIES, DIPLOMA IN SOCIAL STUDIES AND DIPLOMA IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING
1. Units earned by teachers in the Diploma in Language Studies, Social Studies and Mathematics leading to the Degree or Diploma offered by the Distance Education of the University of the Philippines shall be credited for purposes of salary upgrading through ERF and for additional point units for promotion.
2. As much as possible, public secondary school teachers who are enrolled in the abovementioned courses should be exempted from handling supervisory classes.
3. The exemption may be availed of by the teachers concerned upon presentation to their principals the certificate of registration in the program.
4. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum to all concerned is desired.
