(NAR) VOL. 9 NO. 3 / JULY - SEPTEMBER 1998

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 98-025, September 07, 1998 ]

ISSUANCE OF PROVISIONAL AUTHORITY TO PETITION FOR EXTENSION OF VALIDITY OF CPC

In order not to disrupt the rendition of transportation services pending resolution of applications for extension of validity of expiring and/or expired Certificates of Public Convenience, the Board, including its regional offices in the country’s administrative regions, will issue Provisional Authorities to operate the type of services originally authorized under the CPCs covered by the applications for extension of validity.

It is understood that the required filing fee of P 220.00 for the PA should first be paid before the Provisional Authority will be stamped on the face of the CPC, sought to be extended.

The stamped approval on the face of the expiring or expired CPC is itself the Provisional Authority authorizing the continued operation of the service sought to be extended pending resolution of the basic applications.

This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately.
