In its memorandum of 10 January 2007, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia has advised all their accredited Philippine Licensed Recruitment Agencies (LRA) that it shall cancel their accreditation of any LRA found to have submitted fake documents of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) bound for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Embassy has observed an increase in the submission by LRA’s of fake documents of applicant-workers. In addition to the cancellation of the accreditation, the Embassy will notify the Saudi National Recruitment Agencies Committee in Saudi Arabia which will inform Saudi employers and establishments to desist from dealing with the said LRAs. It shall also inform concerned Philippine government authorities so that appropriate charges can be filed against them.

The falsification or mere possession of falsified documents is a criminal offense, both in the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
