[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2002-03, APRIL 02, 2002, April 02, 2002 ]

YEARLY ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND STICKER FOR PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES



To effectively monitor which among those units that were given authority by the Board to operate as for-hire service have actually been duly registered with the Land Transportation Office, all franchises/operators are required to secure yearly a CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE and STICKER from the Board within fifteen (15) days from date of current registration of the unit/s with the Land Transportation Office. Original copies of the Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt for the current year should be presented when securing the same.

The sticker duly issued by the Board shall be pasted in the windshield of the unit and the Certificate shall at all times be carried by the driver when the unit/s is/are in operation. Also, Petitions for Dropping of Unit/s shall be accepted only after the issued certificate of the units/s to be dropped shall have been surrendered with the Board.

Failure to comply with this Circular shall be sufficient ground for the suspension or revocation of the franchise of the unit/s involved after observance of due process.

All issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent herewith are modified, superseded and/or revoked accordingly.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
