IMPLEMENTATION OF QUALIFICATION STANDARDS FOR INSTRUCTORS CONDUCTING TRAINING WITH USE OF SIMULATORS
Pursuant to Resolution No. 03, Series of 1998, as provided for in Annex 2 thereof, Instructors conducting training with the use of simulators, should have received appropriate guidance in instructional techniques involving the use of simulators and gained practical operational experience on the particular type of simulator being used.
In this regard, all instructors conducting training with the use of simulators are required to comply with said requirement.
Presently. The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy and the National Maritime Polytechnic are the only institutions authorized by MTC to conduct the Simulator-Based Training for Instructors at the Operational Level.
