GUIDELINES ON NCR, LTFRB JURISDICTION EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 12, 1996



NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Pursuant to the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 96-017 dated May 2, 1996, the National Capital Region, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (NCR, LTFRB) shall accept the following applications/petitions for different modes of services operating in Metro Manila effective September 12, 1996, to wit:

PUB Services – (PUB)

A. New CPC (Open Route)

B. Extension of Validity

C. Sale and Transfer

D. Dropping & Substitution, and such other applications/ petitions incidental thereto

School Services (SB)

A. New CPC with Provisional Authority (PA)

a.  The Sheriff is not available, or

b.  The municipality where the sale is to take place is far from where the sheriff performs his official duties.

B. Extension of Validity

C. Sale and Transfer

D. Dropping & Substitution, and such other applications/petitions incidental thereto

Shuttle Bus Services (SHB)

A. New CPC

B. Extension of Validity

C. Sale and Transfer

D. Dropping & Substitution, and such other applications/ petitions incidental thereto

Taxi (Metro Manila Taxi) - (TX)

A. New CPC

Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ)

(Including those Operators Whose Records are still in the LTFRB, Central Office)

A  New CPC (Open Route)

B. Extension of Validity

C. Sale and Transfer

D. Dropping & Substitution, and such other applications/petitions incidental thereto

Other Modes of Services Not Mentioned Above Operating or That Will Be Operating in the Future, Within the Boundary of Metro Manila

The Board being a quasi-judicial body shall accept any pleading allowed by its Rules, Applications for extension of validity, Sale and Transfer and other similar applications may be accepted for filing without clearance of financial accounts, provided that such clearance shall be submitted with other relevant documents in its formal offer of evidence. Petition for dropping and/or substitution and such other similar petitions shall not be processed without clearance of financial accounts.
