[ DDB BOARD REGULATION NO. 9, October 24, 2003 ]

ADOPTING AND ENFORCING ALL PREVIOUSLY ISSUED DANGEROUS DRUGS BOARD RESOLUTIONS/REGULATIONS AND OTHER ISSUANCES THAT ARE NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF R.A. 9165 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF 2002



WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, has been enacted and became effective July 4, 2002, after its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation, thereby repealing Republic Act No. 6425, otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972;

WHEREAS, under the new Act, the Dangerous Drugs Board that was reconstituted by virtue thereof, was vested with the authority to issue and adopt various regulations and resolutions that are consistent with the performance of its mandated functions;

WHEREAS, under the repealing clause of RA 9165, RA 6425 as amended as well as all other laws, administrative orders, rules and regulations or parts thereof which are found to be inconsistent with the provisions of the new Act, have been repealed or modified accordingly;

WHEREFORE, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED that all the Board Regulations and other issuances of the old Dangerous Drugs Board that are not inconsistent with the provisions of RA 9165 are hereby adopted as enforceable and still in effect.
