[ PPA MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 03-94, October 10, 1994 ]

RATES FOR PPA DREDGING SERVICES



1. Section 6 (B) of P.D.857 provides the corporate powers of the Philippine Ports Authority. Among these powers are:
(ix) To levy dues. rates or charges for the use of the premises, works, appliances, facilities or services rendered by and belonging to the authority, and

(xi) To dredge or provide dredging services within the Port District or elsewhere.
2. Based on these powers of PPA, the dredging services of PPA shall be on the following pay items with the corresponding rates:
a. Mobilization/Demobilization — This cost shall be P4,000.00 per hour of travel time plus two (2) hours. This cost shall be a lumpsum amount and travel time shall be reckoned from the dredger station to the dredging site and back. Port of Manila shall be the dredging station for dredging works in Luzon and the Port of Cebu shall be the dredging station for dredging work in Mindanao and Visayas.

Cost = P4,000.00 (travel time + 2 hours)

b. Survey — The survey works shall include pre and post surveys. The cost for the survey is P7,500.00 per hectare plus a fix amount of P16,000.00 per survey The area shall be rounded off to the next full hectare (Ex. 4.2 ha. to 5.0 ha:) This cost shall be determined after the pre survey has been undertaken and the limits of the area to be dredged has been defined.

Pre survey

Cost = P16,000.00 + P7,500.00 x area (in ha.)

Post-survey

Cost = P16,000.00 + P7,500.00 x area (in ha.)

c. Dredging — The rates for dredging works per type of dredger are as follow

The measurement of payment shall be based on actual volume dredged determine from the pre and post surveys.

3. This Order becomes effective immediately and amends/repeals all Orders to this effect.  ScEaAD
