[ DECS MEMORANDUM NO. 127, s. 2001, April 20, 2001 ]
RELEASE OF CLOTHING ALLOWANCE IN CASH
1. To ensure that DECS personnel especially teachers have full discretion on the use of their clothing allowance, it is hereby directed that the clothing allowance should be released to them in full in the form of cash.
2. Any DECS official of employee is prohibited from entering into arrangements with suppliers of clothing materials or makers of teachers’ uniforms on behalf of teachers and, in the process, cause the non-release of the clothing allowance in cash to the DECS personnel.
3. Any violation of this directive shall be dealt with accordingly.
4. For immediate and strict implementation.
