FREQUENCY ALLOCATION FOR WIRELESS INTERFACE FOR PABX SYSTEMS AND CUSTOMER PREMISE EQUIPMENT



Whereas, pursuant to Rule 600 of MC 8-9-95, Implementing Rules and Regulations on RA 7925, the radio spectrum allocation and assignment shall be subject to review in the interest of public service and in order to keep pace with the development in the wireless technology with the end in view of insuring a wider access to the limited radio spectrum and the use of cost effective technology;

Whereas, the Commission is in receipt of numerous inquiries regarding applications for wireless interface for PABX Systems and Customer Premise Equipment;

Whereas, pursuant to RA 7925, the growth and development of telecommunications services shall be pursued;

The National Telecommunications Commission, pursuant to RA 7925 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, EO 546 series of 1979 and Act No. 3846, as amended, hereby allows the use of wireless interface for PABX Systems and Customer Premise Equipment in the

1880-1920 MHz

to co-exist with wireless local loop (WLL) for LEC subject to the Rules and Regulations and on Non-Interference Basis (NIB).

This circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation and Three (3) copies furnished the UP Law Center.

Any circular, order or memorandum inconsistent herewith is deemed superseded.
