REVOCATION OF SUGAR ORDER NO. 8, SERIES OF 1995-1996 RE: RULES AND REGULATIONS ON SUGAR IMPORTED BY MANUFACTURERS OF SUGAR-BASED PRODUCTS FOR EXPORT




Whereas, Sugar Order No. 1-A, Series of 1996-1997, dated 15 November 1996, provides for the allocation of one percent (1%) of Crop Year 1996-1997 production as “B-1” or Food Processors’/Exporters’ Organization (PHILFOODEX) in order for the Philfoodex to procure cheaper sugar to enable them to remain competitive in the world market;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1.       Sugar Order No. 8, Series of 1995-1996, dated 04 June 1996, which has been promulgated by the SRA to subject the sugar imported by manufacturers of sugar-based products for export to certain rules and regulations, is hereby revoked.

Circular Letter No. 33, Series of 1995-1996, dated 04 June 1996, as implementing guidelines in giving a certification of sugar requirements to manufacturers of sugar-based products for exports, pursuant to said Sugar Order No. 8, is likewise, revoked.

SECTION 2.       This Order shall take effect immediately.
