GUIDELINES TO IMPLEMENT SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 1. DATED 3 SEPTEMBER 1992, RE - "B-1" SUGAR



For the information and guidance of all concerned, the following rules and regulations are hereby issued to implement the provisions of SRA Sugar Order No. 1, dated 3 September 1992, specifically on “B-1” Domestic (Reserve) sugar:

SECTION 1. The “B” Domestic sugar quedan-permit form shall be used in quedanning the “B-1” production. Mill companies shall rubber-stamp the word “B-1” at the most conspicuous space of the three portions of each quedan-permit.

SECTION 2. The dates of issuance of quedan-permits to be issued to cover “B-1” sugar as well as corresponding maturity dates thereof shall be clearly indicated in said quedan-permits.

SECTION 3. All “B-1” sugar may be withdrawn only after one hundred twenty (120) days.  This means that as long as the sugar is “B-1”, the same cannot be withdrawn.  Hence no storage fee shall be imposed.

Storage charges shall commence ninety (90) days after the maturity date of the “B-1” sugar which has become “B”.

SECTION 4. This Circular Letter takes effect immediately.  The provisions of sugar orders, circular letters, memoranda, rules and regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Circular are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.
