AMENDMENTS TO THE RACING RULES



Please be informed that the PHILRACOM Board in its meeting held on April 19, 2002, after due deliberation, resolved to approve the following amendments to the Horseracing Rules and Regulations, to wit:

1.         SECTION 21.2 — IMPORTED HORSESImported horses may be allowed by PHILRACOM to participate in races held in the Philippines on the following conditions:

a.         Only imported horses that will be raced shall not be more than four (4) years old from the actual date of foaling when they arrive in the Philippines;

b.         Must satisfy the conditions stated in the above SECTION 21.0 b, c, d, & e;

c.         Shall only be allowed to run for a period of not more than three (3) years from its first official race for a purse in the Philippines or upon reaching the age of seven (7) years from actual date of foaling, whichever comes first.

2.         SECTION 31. UNFAIR STARTIf any horse was riderless at the time of a start was effected, or if a horse was denied a fair start and such occurence materially prejudiced the chances of that horse, said horse shall be declared as a non-starter.  All bets on the said horse shall be refunded and corresponding dividends shall be paid.

These amendments to the Racing Rules shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication.
