LIFTING OF MORATORIUM ON APPLICATIONS FOR PUB SERVICE IN CAVITE AREA



<DIV ALIGN=JUSTIFY>In consonance with Memorandum issued by the Department of Transportation and Communications addressed to then Chairperson of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board dated 10 September 2006, Re: POLICY REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON SELECTIVE LIFTING OF MORATORIUM FOR CRITICALLY IDENTIFIED MODE OF PUBLIC LAND TRANSPORT CONVEYANCES UNDER DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 97-1097, which identified PUB Service in CALABARZON GROWTH CENTERS, this Board resolved to partially lift and set aside Memorandum Circular 2003-028, Re: Moratorium on the Issuance of CPC dated November 17, 2003. Thus, Applications for Issuance of Certificate of Public Convenience to Operate PUB Service in CALABARZON GROWTH CENTERS filed prior to the issuance of the moratorium shall be revived, on motion of the applicant, and subject to the conduct of survey and evaluation of the Road Transportation Planning Division of the DOTC and/or availability of the Route Measure Capacity, and sound discretion of this Board.

All issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby superseded and amended accordingly.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
