EXTENSION IN THE PROCESSING OF EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS OF HOUSEHOLD WORKERS RECRUITED AS NAME HIRES PROVIDED BY MC 44, SERIES OF 1996
In view of the numerous employment contracts of household workers authenticated and/or verified as name hires by Philippine Consular and labor posts abroad on or before 30 October 1996, Memorandum Circular No. 44, series of 1996, is hereby modified.
The administration will continue to receive for processing employment contracts authenticated and/or verified before 30 October until 15 December 1996. Thereafter, contracts of household workers will be processed only through accredited foreign placement agencies, except those recruited by employers belonging to the four categories enumerated in the subject circular.
For strict compliance.
Adopted: 14 Nov. 1996
