GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF FILIPINO CONTRACT WORKERS TO BAHRAIN



In view of the opening of the Philippine Diplomatic post in Bahrain and in order to fully protect the welfare of Filipino workers, the following guidelines are hereby issued for the deployment of all Filipino contract workers bound for Bahrain:

A.      Documentary Requirements for the Accreditation of Principals/Projects:

a.1. Authenticated Special Power of Attorney/Service Agreement

a.2. Verified Manpower Request indicating worker's salary

a.3. Principal's Commercial registration with official English translation

a.4. Model Employment Contract

B.      For Additional Job Order Requests

b.1.    Verified Manpower Request

C.      Documentary Requirements for Processing of all female workers except for professionals, medical and hotel workers:

c.1. Verified Individual Employment Contract

c.2. Verified original or verified photocopy of the worker's No Objection Certificate (NOC)

c.3. All present requirements for processing by the Employment Contracts Processing Branch and the Government Placement Branch

This Memorandum Circular supersedes all previous issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
