AMENDMENT TO CPA MC NO. 07-2010 (IMPLEMENTATION OF MANDATORY WEIGHING OF DOMESTIC CONTAINER VANS)



Section 1. Amending the Area of Coverage – The second paragraph of CPA Memorandum Circular No. 06-2010, which reads

“No container or other cargo (on truck) for loading to vessels shall be allowed entry at any of the Domestic Zone gates without a validated weighing slip/ receipt issued by an accredited weighbridge operator, per CPA MC No. 06-2010 (Implementing Rules and Regulations).”

is hereby amended to read as follows:

No container van for loading to vessels at the Cebu International Port (CIP) shall be allowed entry at the CIP gate without a validated weighing slip/receipt issued by an accredited weighbridge operator, per CPA MC No. 06-2010 (Implementing Rules and Regulations).”

Section 2. Date of Implementation of No Weigh Slip – No Entry of Container Vans at CIP – Effective December 16, 2010, no outbound loaded domestic container vans, as provided in Section 1 hereof, shall be allowed entry at the CIP gate without a validated weighing slip/receipt issued by an accredited weighbridge operator.

Section 3. Full implementation of Mandatory Weighing of Container Vans at the Baseport of Cebu – Effective 16 January 2011, no outbound loaded domestic container vans for loading to vessels at the entire Baseport of Cebu shall be allowed entry at any of the CIP and Domestic Zone gates without a validated weighing slip/receipt issued by an accredited weighbridge operator.

Repealing Clause – All CPA rules and regulations, policies, guidelines, memoranda or circular inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed accordingly.

Section 3. Effectivity – This amendatory circular takes effect immediately. For guidance and compliance.
