[ PRC BOARD OF CIVIL ENGINEERING RESOLUTION NO. 07, April 29, 1991 ]

GUIDELINES ON CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN CIVIL ENGINEERING



WHEREAS the Board promulgated Resolution No. 130, Series of 1990, dated July 12, 1990: "Guidelines on Continuing Professional Education (CPE) in Civil Engineering," which was approved and published in the Official Gazette on September 17, 1990 (Vol. 86, No. 38);

WHEREAS the Professional Education Committee (CPEC) for Civil Engineers was only constituted in 1991; hence, the earnings of the credit units for the CPE shall only be obtainable thereafter;

WHEREAS the professional license of a registered Civil Engineer shall be renewable once in every three (3) years only upon submission of certificates indicating credit units issued by the CPEC, unless he/she is exempted therefrom;

WHEREFORE, the Board hereby resolves to require: (1) the earnings and computation of the credit units for CPE for civil engineers from the effectivity of herein Resolution and (2) the submission thereof as requirement for the renewal of the professional license as a registered civil engineer starting on a date following three (3) years after effectivity of the herein Resolution.

FORTHWITH, after approval hereof by the Commission, the herein Resolution shall be effective following fifteen (15) days from the date of completion of the publication in full thereof in the Official Gazette or newspapers of general circulation.
