[ BI MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. MCL-09-009, August 14, 2009 ]

PRESCRIBING FOR SUPPLEMENTAL GUIDELINES IN THE GRANTING OF V ISA FREE ENTRY TO THE PHILIPPINES WITH SEVEN (7) DAYS INITIAL AUTHORIZED STAY TO CHINESE NATIONALS WITH VALID AND CURRENT AMERICAN, JAPANESE, AUSTRALIAN, CANADIAN OR SCHENGEN VISA



To supplement Memorandum Circular No. MCL-09-006 dated 29 July 2009, it is hereby clarified that the subject foreigners who are holders of crew visa or transient visa are not included as beneficiaries under the said Memorandum Circular as only those CHINESE NATIONALS WITH VALID AND CURRENT AMERICAN, JAPANESE, AUSTRALIAN, CANADIAN OR SCHENGEN VISA, WHO WISH TO VISIT THE PHILIPPINES FOR TOURISM PURPOSES, will be allowed to enter the country visa free for an initial authorized stay of seven (7) days.

The above supplemental guideline shall take effect immediately.

Let copies of this Memorandum Circular be filed with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR) U. P. Law Center, U. P. Complex, Diliman, Quezon City.
