PRIVATE EMISSION TESTING CENTER (PETC) DIRECT FACILITY IMPLEMENTATION
Pursuant to the efforts of DOTC/LTO in reference to the mandate
provided by Republic Act No. 8749, otherwise known as the Philippine
Clean Air Act of 1999 and the elimination of non-appearance issues
during smoke emission testing, it is hereby promulgated that Private
Emission Testing Centers are given option to directly connect to the
LTO-IT System through the PETC Direct Facility. Accordingly, to ensure
the compliance of the PETC Direct Facility to the set requirements of
this Office, the system shall be initially implemented on testing mode
prior to its full implementation.
As such, all Certificates of Emission Compliance (CEC) from PETCs utilizing the said facility must be accepted for registration purposes in all applicable LTO District and/or Extension Offices.
