AMENDMENT TO GUIDELINES ON DROPPING AND SUBSTITUTION OF UNITS



In order to facilitate the replacement of existing, old, dilapidated and unserviceable public utility vehicles with imported second-hand vehicles with BOI approvals and in order not to disrupt the operations of the public service, this Board hereby allows the acceptance and processing of petitions for dropping and substitution of unit as required under Sec. 7 of BOI Guidelines without the LTO inspection report for road worthiness of the replacement unit and official receipt for the surrender of plate of the unit to be dropped.  These requirements at the time of filing of the petition under Memorandum Circular Nos. 87-0014 and 87-0015 are waived, provided that the order relative to the petition for dropping and substitution shall be released only upon the submission of said LTO inspection report and official receipt for the surrender of plate.

This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately.
