[ TESDA RESOLUTION NO. 2010-18, November 24, 2010 ]
APPROVING THE AMENDMENTS TO THE TRAINING REGULATIONS FOR HAIRDRESSING NC II* AND HAIRDRESSING NC III* AND APPROVING AND PROMULGATING TRAINING REGULATIONS FOR BARBERING NC II*
WHEREAS, TESDA Board Resolutions No. 2005-09 and 2005-15 were issued by the Board approving Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III as priority qualifications and approved and promulgated the Training Regulations for the same, on May 9, 2005 and August 4, 2005, respectively;
WHEREAS, as a result of subsequent meetings with industry sector partners, changes and updates to the Training Regulations for Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III were identified and the qualification for Barbering NC II was recommended to be separated from the Training Regulations in Hairdressing NC II;
WHEREAS, industry experts, and industry partners/associations with the technical assistance of the Qualification and Standards Office (QSO) of TESDA have made and endorsed the same for TESDA Board approval;
WHEREAS, during the 43rd Standards-Setting and Systems Development (SSSD)-TESDA Board-TESDA Secretariat Committee Meeting held last November 23, 2010, the Committee favorably endorsed the amendments to the Training Regulations for Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III and recommended for approval and promulgation the Training Regulations for Barbering NC II, as attached hereto;
WHEREAS, during the 74th EXCOM-TESDA Board Meeting on 24 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the EXCOM-TESDA Board agreed to recommend for approval the aforesaid amendments to the Training Regulations for Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III and recommended for approval and promulgation the Training Regulations for Barbering NC II;
WHEREAS, the amended part of the aforesaid Training Regulations and the new Training Regulations for Barbering NC II are herewith annexed and made an integral part of this resolution;
WHEREAS, in the 76th TESDA Board Meeting on 25 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the TESDA Board considered and approved the amendments to the Training Regulations for Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III and the approval and promulgation of the Training Regulations for Barbering NC II;
NOW, THEREORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the TESDA Board in its meeting today, 25 November 2010, 2:00 p.m., approved and shall cause to be amended the aforementioned Training Regulations for Hairdressing NC II and Hairdressing NC III and promulgates the Training Regulations for Barbering NC II;
BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution and Training Regulations be published and disseminated to all concerned, and the same shall be effective fifteen (15) days upon publication. All programs registered under these training regulations must comply with the requirements of the aforementioned training regulations. Graduates of TVET course covered by the aforementioned training regulations. Graduates of TVET courses covered by the aforementioned training regulations shall be required to undergo mandatory assessment under the national assessment and certification program. The amended Training Regulations for Hairdressing NCII and Hairdressing NCIII will supersede the current Training Regulations for Hairdressing NCII and Hairdressing NCIII respectively. Hence, all programs registered under the said current Training Regulations will have one (1) year from date of effectivity of the amended Training Regulations to migrate to the new amended Training Regulations.
