REQUESTS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION/S AND RELEASE OF TAXPAYER INFORMATION FROM THE COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS SERVICE (CISS)
Various requests for the issuance of certification/s and/or release of taxpayer information are being coursed directly to CISS without duly considering whether such requests (if granted) would be a breach of Section 269 of the National Internal Revenue Code on unlawful divulgence of confidential information.
Therefore, pending issuance of appropriate ruling/procedures for the release of certifications and/or taxpayer information by CISS, all requests for such records/data shall be referred to the Chief, Legislative, Ruling and Research Division, who in turn shall forward all approved requests to CISS for generation of needed information.
Please be guided accordingly.
