[ LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. VPT-2012-1629, March 05, 2012 ]

REGISTRATION OF REBUILT MOTOR VEHICLES WITH IMPORTED COMPONENTS BY DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY (DTI) ACCREDITED REBUILDERS WHOSE COMPONENT PARTS WERE ISSUED BUREAU OF CUSTOMS (BOC) CERTIFICATES OF PAYMENT PURSUANT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT AMONGST THE DTI, BOC AND LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO)



Pursuant to the provisions of the Memorandum of Agreement signed between and among the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Customs (BOC), and Land Transportation Office (LTO) on 16 November 2006 and Memorandum Circular Nos. RIB-2007-831 dated 08 May 2007, VPT-2010-1421 dated 01 October 2010, VPT-2011-1461 dated 11 February 2011, VPT-2011-1499 dated 02 March 2011 and VPT-2011-1556 dated 15 August 2011 and for purpose of close monitoring, only the following LTO District Offices are hereby authorized to accept and process the initial registration of rebuilt motor vehicles with imported components by DTI accredited rebuilders;

1. Diliman District Office
2. Quezon City District Office
3. Makati District Office

For other regions, initial registration shall be done at the LTO District Office nearest the BOC port of entries.

All district offices authorized to register the abovementioned subject shall ensure that mandatory supporting documents for the initial registration of rebuilt trucks/buses with imported components are complete and in order prior to its acceptance for processing.

All issuances in conflict herewith are deemed superseded.
