(NAR) VOL. 13 NOS. 1-4 / OCTOBER-DECEMBER 2002

[ PPA OPERATIONS MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 05-2002, September 20, 2002 ]

PPA OPERATIONS MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 05-2002 PPA MC No. 58-99 and PPA MC No. 45-2000

This will reiterate compliance to the provisions of the following Memorandum Circulars earlier issued.

1.  PPA MC No. 45-2000 amply clarifies that palletizing and stockpiling activities onto truck are part of regular cargo handling services and therefore should not be subject to additional charges.

2.  PPA MC No. 58-99 dated December 06, 1999 rationalizes line-handling (making fast and letting go lines) rates for domestic and foreign vessels.

The District and Port Managers are expected to act on any violation related to these and file the necessary cases against violators as a means of ensuring compliance to these rules.

Adopted: 20 Sept. 2002

(SGD.) BENJAMIN B. CECILIO
Officer-in-Charge
