PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF HARBOR PILOTS IN RENDERING PILOTAGE SERVICES TO VESSELS



In line with the Authority's objective to improve pilotage service and ensure prompt and safe rendition of pilotage service to vessels, all harbor pilots assigned to service vessels shall be evaluated by the Master or Port Captain using the attached Harbor Pilot Performance Evaluation Questionnaire.

Based on the evaluation results, the pilots' performance shall be further reviewed by the PDOs/PMOs to ascertain the efficiency of the pilot being rated.

This Circular amplifies pertinent provision of Section 4 (Conduct in Boarding/Disembarking and Maneuvering of Vessels) of PPA Memorandum Circular No. 27-90 entitled "Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Harbor Pilots".

This memorandum circular takes effect immediately and shall remain in force until otherwise revoked.
