[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2005-035, October 07, 2005 ]

EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF VALIDITY OF EXPIRED FRANCHISE WITH MODIFICATIONS



Due to the clamor of various transport groups, and considering the number of Motions to Allow Late Filing of Extension of Validity and the like filed by grantees, the Board hereby extends the period of late filing of expired Certificates of Public Convenience, subject to the following conditions:

    1. Only PUJ, PUB, Taxi Services with Sedan Type Units, MEGA Taxi services

    2. Only CPC which expired from 01 January 2000 up to the end of implementation of this Memorandum Circular are allowed for acceptance.

    3. The regular penalty for late filing in the amount of Five Hundred Pesos (PhP500.00) per unit and per month shall still be charged;

    4. In addition to the regular penalty abovementioned, the following penalties shall also be imposed regardless of the number of months of expiration;

      a. PUJ Service - Five Thousand Pesos (Php5,000) per unit;

      b. TAXI/MEGA TAXI Services - Seven Thousand Pesos (PhP7,000) per unit;

      c. PUB Service - Fifteen Thousand Pesos (Php15,000) per unit

Operators who are covered by this Circular and who may want to avail of this privilege are given until December 31, 2005 to file their Petitions/Applications.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.
