DEADLINE FOR INITIAL COMPLIANCE OF APPLICATION FOR CONVERSION TO AUV/VAN EXPRESS



In relation to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the AUV/Van Express Service as per Memorandum Circular 2005-023, the Board is directing all the qualified CPC holders to comply with the procedural guidelines of the said Memorandum Circular, which states " b) Upon filling-up, the respondent operator shall call a Secretariat telephone hotline to schedule pick-up of document package via Courier Service, including the payment (Manager's Check/Cashiers Check) and duly accomplished form, LTO OR/CR of vehicle and other required documents (xerox copy) from the residence or business address of the operator", considering that Pre-qualification letter and Application/Information Forms and Checklist of Requirements were already sent to qualified CPC holder(s) through mail. The Deadline for initial compliance is until January 6, 2006.

Failure to comply within the time frame prescribed above shall cause the cancellation and revocation of Certificate of Public Convenience of qualified Applicant for Conversion to AUV/Van Express, and shall cause the move of the conversion program to Phase Two (2) which shall now allow Mega Taxi franchise operators to apply for conversion.

The Route Measured Capacity (RMC) allocation for those who shall fail to comply shall be allotted to grantees of CPC to operate Mega Taxi Air-Conditioned Service, subject to the same guidelines and procedures as provided for under the same Memorandum Circular.

The AUV/ Van Express shall be known and renamed as P2P Express (Point to Point), since AUV's have been phased out by car manufacturers.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.
