ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION FOR ADVANCE RENEWAL OF DRIVERS' LICENSE



Effective immediately the following drivers' license transactions can be renewed earlier than the reglamentary period of sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the drivers' license, to wit:

a.      Application for a duplicate drivers' license where the unexpired portion is 120 days or 4 months;

b.      Transactions that need replacement i.e. change status, additional restriction code, revision of records, etc. which is still valid for 120 days;

c.       Those leaving for abroad can renew their drivers' license in advance if the remaining unexpired portion is not more than once (1) year and provided they can show proof such as plane ticket, visa and/or contract.

The drivers' license to be issued shall be valid for three (3) years reckoned after the expiry date of the license being replaced and/or renewed.
