[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 40 s. 1993, September 07, 1993 ]
CENTRALIZED PDOS FOR SINGAPORE-BOUND HOUSEHOLD WORKERS
Further to Memorandum Circular No. 18, series of 1993, the pre-departure orientation (PDO) of all male and female household workers and other related workers in the service sector bound for Singapore shall be centralized at POEA effective 04 October 1993.
Overseas contract workers whose employment contracts will be submitted for processing at POEA after the same date shall be required to attend the PDOS conducted by POEA or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) accredited for the sector. The existing referral system for PDOS schedule of household workers bound for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall also apply.
