(NAR) VOL. IV NO. 4 / OCTOBER-DECEMBER 1993

[ BFAD (DOH) MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 7, s. 1993, July 28, 1993 ]

PROVISIONAL PERMITS TO MARKET THE COSMETIC PRODUCTS

This confirms the decision of the BFAD Management Committee meeting on July 21, 1993 to grant provisional permits to market the cosmetic products whose applications for initial registration have been filed before July 16, 1993.  (It is understood that products undergoing renewal registration are allowed in the market until the application for renewal registration is finally acted by BFAD).

This provisional permit to market shall be valid for six (6) months from the date of the permit, and will be effective within that period while the registration of the said product will be processed.  This permit however does not take the place of registration, such that if the registration application of the cosmetic product would be finally denied, the product covered by the provisional permit will not be allowed in the market after such denial.

This action is a stop gap measure to address the delay in the cosmetic registration processing.

Adopted: 28 July 1993
