PHILPOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 04-03 DATED 04 MARCH 2004, AMENDMENT OF

This is to supersede the definition of intra rates as provided for in PhilPost Administrative Order No. 04-03 dated 04 March 2004, which stated that:

"Intra rates shall apply to all ordinary mails posted in Luzon for delivery in Luzon, posted in Visayas region for delivery in Visayas region and posted in Mindanao for delivery in Mindanao."

The intra mail is hereby re-defined and shall apply to all mails posted and intended for delivery within the region only. The P2.00 airmail fee shall be imposed on the first 20 grams of the first class and registered mail, in the exchange of these categories of mail between the mail island groupings of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Mails intended for Ifugao and Kalinga-Apayao shall be considered intra mails when posted in Region 2 and that for Abra shall similarly be considered posted in Region 1.

The Airmail Fee of P2.00 shall not apply to Priority Mail, Express Mail, Air Parcel, 2nd and 3rd Class Mails.

The Regional Director is directed to brief and inform accordingly all officials in their respective regions to ensure clear information and widest dissemination of this amendment. Likewise, please properly inform our valued clients through the fastest means either by fax transmission, mail via EMS service, through counter, etc.

This Order supersedes all previous issuances and shall take effect on 17 October 2005.
