[ TESDA RESOLUTION NO. 2007-52, December 19, 2007 ]
APPROVING AND PROMULGATING THE OMNIBUS GUIDELINES ON PROGRAM REGISTRATION IN THE UNIFIED TVET PROGRAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION SYSTEM (UTPRAS)
WHEREAS, Section 8 of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise known as the TESDA Act of 1994, mandates that TESDA through the TESDA Board, establish and administer a system of accreditation of both public and private institutions;
WHEREAS, in the 16th TESDA Board Meeting which was held last 23 January 1998, the TESDA Board considered and approved Board Resolution No. 1998-03 "Establishment of A Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System";
WHEREAS, in the 281" TESDA Board Meeting which was held last 25 April 2000, the TESDA Board considered and approved Board Resolution No. 2000-03 "Approving the Adoption of Omnibus Amendatory Guidelines in the Establishment of the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System";
WHEREAS, in the 391h TESDA Board Meeting which was held last 4 September 2007, the TESDA Board considered and approved Board Resolution No. 2003-17 "Approving and Adopting the Unified Technical Vocational Education and Training Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS) Guidelines in Sanctions and Penalties";
WHEREAS, in the Special Support to TVET Provision TESDA Board-TESDA Secretariat Consultation Meeting held last 28 November 2007, the "Omnibus Amendatory Guidelines on Program Registration in the Unified TVET program Registration and Accreditation System" was deliberated and favorably recommended to the EXCOM-TESDA Board for consideration;
WHEREAS, to efficiently and effectively implement the aforementioned provisions, TESDA shall adopt the omnibus guidelines on program registration in UTPRAS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the TESDA Board in its meeting today, 19 December 2007 reviews and approves the adoption of the omnibus amendatory guidelines of the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System which is attached* hereto and made as an integral part of this Resolution.
BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY, that the Board directs the TESDA Secretariat to issue the corresponding TESDA Circular. That copies of this resolution and guidelines be disseminated to all concerned and shall be effective fifteen (15) days upon its publication.
