PMO GUIDELINES IN THE TREATMENT OF VESSELS OPERATING UNDER MARINA MC NO. 166



In the absence of PPA Head Office guidelines on the treatment of vessels operating under MARINA MC No. 166 dated 21 June 2002, the following PMO General Santos guidelines shall be temporarily implemented:

1.      Vessels upon arrival at the Port of General Santos shall present the Special Permit issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for the purpose of;

2.      Assessment and computation of port charges and dockage (berth) shall be in foreign rates pursuant to PPA MC No. 36-99 dated 23 July 1999 as clarified under Memorandum of AGM for Operations dated 28 February 2002, including pilotage services and tug assistance rates;

3.      Cargoes unloaded and loaded as reflected/indicated in the outward and inward foreign manifests/transit manifests shall be assessed and computed in foreign rates for wharfage, cargo handling services, and other port related services;

4.      Cargoes unloaded and loaded as reflected/indicated in the outward and inward coasting manifests shall be assessed and computed in domestic rates for wharfage and cargo handling services, and other port related services;

This PMO guidelines shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force until revoked or otherwise amended.
