[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2006-011, February 06, 2006 ]

SECOND EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR CONVERSION TO POINT TO POINT (P2P) EXPRESS (AUV/VAN EXPRESS)

Due to the clamor of grantees of Certificates of Public Convenience willing to avail of the Conversion Program of the Board pursuant to MC 2005-023, Re: IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATIVE TO THE OPENING OF AUV/VAN EXPRESS, dated July 21, 2005, the Board resolved that the deadline set on February 6, 2006 as per MC 2006-002, dated January 09, 2006 be extended to February 28, 2006. However, those who will file their initial compliance beyond the date originally set by this Board are ordered to pay a penalty for late filing amounting to P250.00 per unit.

Accordingly, the second phase of the Conversion Program, which will cover Mega-Taxi and/or Metered Taxi Air-Conditioned Service using AUV’s, shall commence on February 6, 2006. The AUV Secretariat is directed to start mailing the application for Conversion to P2P Express with Green Color Scheme.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.
